Eefficiency is an entrepreneurial fund specializing in Internet startups. Our investment scope covers all French companies, which are, at heart, internet-focused. Our field of study includes (but is not limited to) all projects relating to: social networks and tools, community platforms, games and gamification tools, publishing portals, directories and content databases (text, photos, videos, music … ), tools and mobile applications, e-commerce … We are looking for companies with strong growth potential, whose product or service is innovative and original, and where the founding team is involved full time. (capital risque en france) We favour companies that have already reached at least the stage of proof of concept, i.e. from the time the projects are visible and they show the first concrete signs of their potential (a growing audience or first sales …). We become involved when companies are looking for equity of between € 200k and € 500k. We are also able to attract co-investment from other funds when larger amounts are required, depending on the needs of the project development stage. We are based in Clermont-Ferrand and Nîmes but we operate with equal commitment throughout France. Our main aim is to invest in people, we support entrepreneurs over the long term. We have no fixed investment horizon nor do we demand an immediate yield. Our priority is to support projects and entrepreneurs in which we truly believe. The straightforward-nature of our decision-making process and the ready availability of our total investment funds allows us to make choices rapidly and with a minimum of complications. We know how the traditional fund-raising process is very time-consuming for business leaders and can take its toll on the growth of their business. In our way of doing business, we offer a real alternative to conventional solutions such as using business angels, conventional venture-capital funds or even crowd-funding.
